Frequently Asked Questions

Services

Yes. We're a family salon, and children's cuts (ages 10 and under) are one of our most-booked services. Our stylists are patient with first haircuts and nervous little ones.

Yes. We offer men's haircuts, and many of our longtime regulars are men who come in every few weeks.

It's a professional smoothing treatment that reduces frizz and shortens styling time while keeping natural movement. Results typically last up to about 12 weeks, depending on how often you wash and the products you use.

[Answer only after confirming nail services. If not offered, delete this question.]

We carry Moroccanoil, milk_shake, Kenra Professional and Olaplex. Your stylist can recommend products to protect your color and keep your style looking fresh at home.

Most short styles and men's cuts look best with a trim every 3–6 weeks. Longer styles usually need a trim every 8–12 weeks to keep ends healthy. Your stylist can suggest a schedule for your cut.

Haircut FAQs

A women's haircut covers the cut itself. The Works adds a shampoo and a finished style, so you leave with your hair blown out and ready to go.

You don't need to. If you're booking a cut without a shampoo, arrive with your hair clean, dry and styled the way you usually wear it so your stylist can see your natural part and texture.

Yes. A bang trim is a short appointment that keeps your fringe out of your eyes between full haircuts.

Bring a favorite toy or show, book a morning slot when kids are rested, and bring a photo if you have a style in mind. Our stylists take their time with first cuts and nervous kids.

Hair Color FAQs

A single-process color usually takes 1.5 to 2 hours. Highlights, color with foils and vivid shades can take 2 to 4 hours, depending on your hair's length and thickness.

Partial foils brighten the top and sides of your hair, where light hits most. Full foils place highlights throughout the whole head for more even, all-over brightness.

Yes. A full-head single-process color gives the most complete gray coverage. Highlights can blend gray in softly if you'd rather avoid a hard regrowth line.

Arrive with dry hair that hasn't been washed for a day or so, unless your stylist tells you otherwise. Bring photos of colors you love and ones you don't.

[Confirm the salon's practice.] If you've had a reaction to hair dye before, tell us when you book so we can plan a test in advance.

Color correction fixes uneven, brassy or unwanted color, often from box dye or a previous service. It may take more than one visit and is priced after an in-person consultation.

Vivid shades like pink, blue or purple fade faster than natural tones, often within 4 to 8 weeks. Most need the hair lightened first. Washing in cool water with a color-safe shampoo helps them last longer.

Wait at least 48 hours before your first wash, use a sulfate-free, color-safe shampoo, and protect your hair from heat. Ask your stylist about milk_shake color care or Olaplex for lightened hair.

Perm FAQs

A classic perm adds overall curl and body. A spiral wrap creates defined, corkscrew curls, best on longer hair. A beach wave gives looser, relaxed waves for a more natural look.

Most perms last about 3 to 6 months. The curl relaxes gradually as your hair grows and is trimmed.

Avoid washing your hair for at least 48 hours so the curl can set. Use a gentle, sulfate-free shampoo and a good conditioner, and scrunch rather than brush when your hair is wet.

We usually recommend spacing the two services at least 1 to 2 weeks apart to protect your hair. Your stylist will recommend the right order and timing.

Brazilian Blowout FAQs

It's a good fit for anyone with frizzy, coarse or hard-to-manage hair who wants smoother, faster styling. It works on most hair types, including color-treated hair.

Yes. Unlike many keratin treatments, a Brazilian Blowout has no required waiting period, so you can wash, work out or put your hair up the same day.

We recommend coloring first, either the same day before the treatment or a few days earlier. Ask your stylist when you book both services.

Use a sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner, and limit time in chlorine and salt water. Gentle care helps your smoothing results last as long as possible.

Waxing and Brow Tint FAQs

About a quarter inch, roughly two to three weeks of growth, gives the wax enough to grip for a clean result.

Tell us if you use retinoid creams, acne medications such as isotretinoin, or have recently had a chemical peel or sunburn. These can make skin too sensitive for facial waxing.

A brow tint usually lasts about 3 to 4 weeks. At Bangz, eyebrow tinting includes a brow wax, so your brows are shaped and defined in one visit.

For 24 hours, skip heavy makeup on the waxed area, hot tubs, saunas and direct sun. This helps prevent irritation and breakouts.

Bridal and Special Event FAQs

[Confirm and add pricing.] A trial is recommended so you and your stylist can lock in the look ahead of the big day.

Book as soon as you set your date, ideally 2 to 3 months ahead. Spring and fall Saturdays fill up first.

Yes. Tell us how many people need styling when you book so we can schedule enough stylists and time.

[Confirm: on-site styling offered or salon only.]

Bring inspiration photos and any hair accessories you plan to wear, such as a veil or clips. Come with dry hair washed the day before, as second-day hair usually holds a style better.

A thermal press uses a heated comb or flat iron to straighten naturally curly or textured hair temporarily. It lasts until your next wash.
